My photographic work draws upon the paradoxes embodied by Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia—the world's largest salt desert—where an immense white expanse becomes both landscape and metaphor. Salt is a material of preservation, purification, protection, and memory. It seasons, heals, wounds, and endures, embodying both blessing and curse, abundance and barrenness, life and desolation. What appears infinite is both beautiful and quietly perilous those who trust only their eyes can lose their way. In these images, the salt desert becomes more than a place.It is a meditation on endurance, vulnerability, and the search for orientation in a world where the boundaries between reality and reflection have dissolved, and where beauty and peril remain inseparable. It is a testimonial to the fact that too much salt will kill you.
